  • Team & Project Oversight: Mentor existing team members to foster a culture of accountability while ensuring all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Technical Liaison: Interface with technical teams, leveraging your facility with technology and optics to troubleshoot and refine the venture’s value proposition.

Qualifications

  • Proven Executive Track Record: Extensive experience in operations management, likely as a former business owner, consultant, or C-suite executive.
  • Exit/M&A Experience: Prior experience preparing a business or venture for sale, licensing, or acquisition is highly preferred.
  • Technical Literacy: A strong facility for handling technical issues (specifically technology and optics) and translating them into business value.
  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions under a tight 6–10 month timeline.
  • Remote Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire distributed teams in a remote-first environment.

We need to make sure patients have the visual skills to use the tools necessary in today’s digital world, such as algorithms and computational graphs and formulas. Practically, this is rarely tested.”
